Cancer New Moon Lunascope – Sunday 25th June

Cancer New Moon – Sunday 25th June

We’ve reached Mid Summer, and what a year 2017 is turning out to be already.

Our British political system is in chaos, Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, suicide bombers and a world on the brink of war. In times like these, it’s hard to stay positive and unemotional in the face of such intense pressure, and a Cancer new moon, is going to keep it emotional and unsettling.
Fortunately, Summer Solstice helps to bring things back into balance and reconnect us to the Land. Make an alter of flowers and leaves to the Sun and place a wish in front of the alter for the coming months. We are able to manifest effortlessly at this time of year when the energy is at its most powerful.

Use this time to celebrate life, the gifts of abundance and find the gratitude for everything that has happened to you. We create our reality on the deepest level and when we find the gratitude for what we have, we automatically become more abundant.

Be spontaneous throughout this moon cycle by trusting your intuition and exploring and honouring your truth. Things are becoming more unstable, as the status quo breaks down, which can be frightening, but also incredibly liberating, creating new possibilities and shifts in consciousness that can create a more positive future.

Wishing you all an enlightening, forgiving and loving new moon ride.

Home and Family – Listen to your Intuition

Issues surrounding the home, family, personal safety, and security are bought to the surface during a Cancer Moon. Our intuition is usually extra strong, especially around these areas, so find some quiet time to yourself so you can listen to what your inner voice is saying to you. The inner critic can cause havoc during this period so try and see all perspectives, rather than get consumed by someone else’s injustice, inequality, and corruption.

Clear the Clutter
Practically, we may feel inspired to clean out the garage or get rid of stuff that is no longer useful. Have a clean out of your wardrobes and throw/give away any clothes that no longer represent who you are. Let go of anything from the past that just needs to go so that you create the space for new stuff to come into your life.

Amplification of Emotions
The Cancer new moon is one of the most emotional Moons of the year, because it is ruled by the Moon herself, so everything we are feeling is illuminated to an even greater extent. If you feel weepy or emotional for no reason, don’t worry, it will past once this moon has started to wax to full. There is a lot of pain in the world right now, and a Cancer new moon can sometimes bring those hidden emotions to the surface.

Darkness Illuminated
Try not to beat yourself up too much during this moon period. It’s going to bring to the surface all our hidden feelings around the home, security and safety. It also illuminates our weaknesses so that we can see how we hold ourselves back and our actions towards others. Those that are ready to face their dark side and accept their mistakes, will be able to see this as an opportunity to love the shadow parts and learn from them so that you don’t make the same mistakes again.

Letting Go
Try and be an observer of your emotions and moods, rather than get pulled deep into Cancer’s watery depths. We are all going through emotional turmoil and the more aware we are of the feelings of others the easier it will be to avoid conflicts and arguments. Surrender and acceptance are the qualities needed to surf this coming energetic wave. When we hang on too tightly to our desires and try to control outcomes the more emotionally difficult this moon will be.

Be More Crab-Like
Adopt the characteristics of the crab, the symbol that represents Cancer. Most crabs are very sociable and travel in packs, reminding us to turn to family and friends for help and support. A crab also has a hard shell but a soft underbelly prompting us to accept and show our vulnerability rather than hiding ourselves under a hard outer shell.

Trust Yourself
The crab also reminds us that we must trust ourselves, especially when it feels we are going sideways rather than forwards. If your goals are clear and your intentions have been set we must surrender to the natural flow of life and allow ourselves to be effortlessly guided to where we want to go, even if it means going sideways for a while!.

I will end this Lunascope with the wise words of Helen Keller:
Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves.
